The colloquium "Recent Research and New Approaches on Early and High Middle Ages" will take place from November 20-22 as part of the "Mainz History Talks". At the invitation of Prof. Dr. Ludger Körntgen, medievalists from Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain and Israel will come together to discuss problems from various areas of political history, church and legal history as well as the history of culture and mentality in the early and high Middle Ages. A particular focus will be on the development of previously neglected or new methodological approaches to much-discussed sources or source genres. The focus will not be on elaborate research contributions but on the presentation and discussion of current issues and project ideas.
